Students received the final essay style quiz today for our Native American unit. They were given 30 to 40 minutes to work on the quiz in class. Some students have opted to type their responses. All quizzes are due by Friday, so if you are going on vacation early, please check in to make sure it is turned in before you leave. As always, students are welcome to come in before school to ask questions and work on the quiz.
The quiz is an open ended essay format with two packed questions. They are expected and can use their own research as well as things they have learned from fellow classmates' projects and presentations. For the first question, they need two specific examples of how specific tribes use their resources wisely. For the second question, they need two examples with an explanation of similarities and differences between Native Americans of the past and our life today with a short explanation of why these things would still be similar or why they have changed and are different.
