Before the break, students were asked to apply their story and plot skills in creating their own missing turkey story. After spending 3 days on the pre-writing and typing as well as a full morning after break, students should be mostly done. The stories are due Friday. Some students are working in partners. I have asked the students in partners to divide any unfinished work between themselves so that it can be completed outside of class. I will give the students 15 minutes tomorrow (Tuesday the 28th) to ensure any unfinished projects get clearly divided up. Students are welcome to come in at 8am or stay after until 4:15pm to work on writing in the room.

I will be posting all important information to the website, mainly in this blog section. If you did not sign up for our remind, but would like to, below is the sheet that guides you through it.
Plot project grades have been entered in the grade book and returned to students. The students know their grades and I let them know that they have the choice to change those grades. Students are able to earn half the points back by plotting the story How Coyote Brought Fire to the Animal People. If students do not have their reading, I am happy to make a copy for them if they notify me. Otherwise, the story can be found here. If there is a section of the plot they missed a lot of points on, they are to say WHY they were confused on it. All corrections are due Friday, November 17th. Students are welcome to come in at 8am to room 304 to work on corrections or have questions answered.
The end of the quarter is fast approaching and with it comes report card pick-up. I look forward to seeing you all. Please sign up for time here. If there is not a time that works for you , please talk to me at pick-up or email me at [email protected] so that we can work out a time.
